Sorry for the lengthy absence in between posts. It’s been a little crazy at work lately, and my free time seems to get sucked up with me doing more work from home or I’m just too tuckered out to play. I have though been progressing in getting my monthly holiday cards ready, in fact I’ve designed all the cards through September, now it’s just a matter of going back and making the 10 cards for each month and then take photos and set up the blog posts. But it’s so exciting to know I will have my holiday cards all done this year. And most importantly, way ahead of schedule. So stay tuned…Thursday the 25th is reveal day!!
I was tickled pink to learn my entry into Technostampers Monday’s Lunchtime Challenge two weeks ago was one of Mary Jo’s Top 3 Picks of the TSSC 362 challenge. I love participating in these sketch challenges because it helps me to create my own masterpiece rather than just CASing someone else’s card. I get excited stamping and creating…it’s a nice diversion from my 9 to 5 job.
So, what’s in store for this week’s Lunchtime Sketch Challenge? Well, I decided to use the Butterfly Basics stamp set and coordinating thinlits. I don’t know why I held out so long in getting this set, but when I finally did decide to purchase it, of course, it was on backorder…but my patience paid off and when I was hostess last month, I was able to purchase the bundle plus get an extra SAB item for free.
TGIF!! Yes, the week has finally come to an end. It was a busy week at work, and I’m ready to put the work part of my brain to rest, let my creative side of the brain take over, and unwind at my stamp table creating something fun to share with you later. But, before I get started, I want to share the card I made for my sister’s birthday using Technostampers 1st Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 362 (TSSC 362).
You know how you set out to do one thing, and you end up doing another? Well, that was pretty much the way my entire day went today. It started by going to breakfast with my sister and then we came back to my house to work on her blog. Which, by the way was all planned to happen, but we found ourselves hours later having worked far longer on a project we thought would be an hour or two. So, after we wrapped up with the computer stuff, we decided to head out to Home Depot and Lowe’s as I wanted to pick up some paint chips (for another project I will eventually post about), then to Baskin Robbins for a tasty treat.
